Rachel Nederveld

Producer of 60 Years of Radio Acadie

Rachel Nederveld is an independent film and podcast producer based in Lafayette, Louisiana. She is an alum of the Sundance Producing Fellowship, IFP Cannes Producing Fellowship, Points North Fellowship, and Tribeca Film Institute’s All Access program, and a board member of the Documentary Producers Alliance. Her films have premiered at Sundance, TIFF, Tribeca, SXSW, and more. Her most recent feature, THE TUBA THIEVES, premiered at Sundance 2023 and will air on PBS’ Independent Lens. She produced and edited the oral history series “60 Years of Radio Acadie” for KRVS 88.7 FM and is developing a series about how South Louisiana communities are adapting to the weather around them. Rachel has a BA in Studio Art and worked in indie music and arts nonprofits before turning to storytelling to push the boundaries on issues most important to her.
