PASA Pop-Ups at the Theater at Baranco
Performing Arts Serving Acadiana (PASA) is a non-profit based in Lafayette. ASL Poetry - Flying Words Project
FLYING WORDS PROJECT is an American Sign Language (ASL) poetry troupe comprised of Deaf poet Peter Cook and hearing coauthor Kenny Lerner. They have performed ASL poetry together all over the world for forty years. They will be performing on October 17th Thursday night in the UL Lafayette Student Union Ballroom. Rougarou Fest - New Folk Village
Rougarou Fest is a celebration of all things about the Bayou Region. It showcases live music, cultural activities, children’s activities, Cajun food, the Krewe Ga Rou parade, and so much more. It will take place on October 18th-20th in Houma, Louisiana. All proceeds go to the South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center, a nonprofit organization that is revolutionizing how we think, teach and learn about Louisiana’s disappearing coast. Prairie Acadian Cultural Center: Back to School Events
The Prairie Acadian Cultural Center is hosting two Back to School Events in the month of August, with the first taking place on Saturday, August 2nd and the second occurring on Thursday, August 28th, the latter being more oriented towards high school and college students.
