  • The 44th Annual Natchitoches-NSU Folk Festival will be held in airconditioned Prather Coliseum on the Northwestern State University campus in Natchitoches on Saturday, July 20.   • The Arts Grants for Teachers program is funded by the Lafayette Parish School System and coordinated by Acadiana Center for the Arts. The purpose of this grant program is to encourage teachers to design and develop artistically creative and innovative projects involving the visual and performing arts. Consequently, they may be removed from their current living environment and placed into the foster care system. Since 2008, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of South Louisiana has helped make a difference in the lives of foster children in Acadia, Lafayette, and Vermilion Parishes.
