Accelerate Northside, a start-up and small business program, focuses on people... their dreams, ideas, and business interests. While we have had five incredible classes come through the program, there is no doubt that the sixth may be the best one yet. The University of Louisiana's wind and jazz ensembles will be presenting "Birds of Paradise" by James Syler on Tuesday, November 21 at 7pm in Angelle Hall. James Syler, who is a composer with numerous awards to his credit including the NBA/Revelli Prize, will be joining the ensembles for this performance. Abbey Players is putting on "The Game's Afoot" directed by Mitchell Prudhomme. This comedic murder mystery tells the story of Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes. He has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of Christmas revelry.
