Adults and little ones alike will get into the Halloween spirit when the UL Lafayette Symphony presents its Annual Halloween Concert: Thursday, October 26, 7:00 p.m. in Angelle Hall Auditorium.Orchestra members will be wearing costumes and the audience is encouraged to show up in their favorite Halloween costumes.Guest appearances by dancers from “The Ballet Studio”, UL Dance Department plus soprano Natalie Connor (Bodkin). BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet marks the fiftieth year of their remarkable career with two star-studded concerts on Thursday, February 1, and Friday, February 2, 2024, as part of the Louisiana Crossroads series, presented by First Horizon. Each night of the 50 year anniversary celebration promises a special musical journey celebrating half a century of music of the legendary band that helped bring Cajun music across the globe, featuring Michael Doucet and an all star band from across the many iterations of BeauSoleil. In addition to the two February performances, AcA presents a retrospective view exhibiting photos and memorabilia from the half century of BeauSoleil’s career in the Coca-Cola studio gallery. Ben Bradford is a city kid, who came to Charlotte from San Francisco by way of New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. Prior to his career in journalism, Ben spent time as an actor, stuntman, viral marketer, and press secretary for a Member of Congress. He graduated from UCLA in 2005 with a degree in theater and from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in 2012. As a reporter, his work has been featured on NPR, WNYC, the BBC, and Public Radio International.
