  • Acadiana Center for the Arts is currently presenting a two-person exhibition from collaborators Kathy Reed and Steve Breaux. The exhibition, 30 Years Dancing With Mind & Matter, features a rich body of work; a diversity ranging from two to three-dimensions including paintings, drawings, works on silk and other fabrics, and other process and conceptual artworks.   • Books Along the Teche is hosting it's 10th Annual Festival from Friday, April 10th to Sunday the 12th with beloved storyteller, Rick Bragg, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author of twelve books, including the bestsellers Ava’s Man and All Over but the Shoutin’.   • Zydeco Izreal is bringing his community together by hosting Zydeco Jams twice a month!   • With Festival International celebrating 40 years this month, there is an exhibit opening at Acadiana Center for Arts this Saturday showcasing photos over the years from various photographers. The event will take place on Saturday, April 11th from 5:30-7:00 pm.
  • Chorale Acadienne is the premire colunteer community choir in Acadiana. May 12th is the annual Moonlight & Music fundraiser at Dream Castle Event Venue featuring American broadwat hits, a siletn auction, and a raffle. On July 4th the Acadienne Chorale will collaborate with the Acadiana Wind Symphony for a free patriotic concert celebrating out nation's 250th anniversary at Lafayette High School's new auditorium. One of the most exciting things on the horizon is Artistic Director, Rusty Roden, will guest conduct a performance at Carnegie Hall in June of 2027.
