The mission of the Acadiana Conservation Project is to connect landowners with resources for improving ecological function, hydrology and biodiversity on their land, and to support their efforts to do so sustainably and, as appropriate, in perpetuity. They are working to create digital resources such as a Landowner Portal which will help guide landowners to the possible resources that are best suited to support their conservation goals. Additional digital resources in development are fact sheets and virtual and GPS tours. In person resources will include talks, workshops, and property tours. The Acadiana Conservation Project will provide hands-on learning and community networking opportunities for anyone wishing to improve ecological function on their land. Our focus will be on improving biodiversity and hydrology at a larger scale than residential landscaping.
