The 21st Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 through Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in Lafayette and Opelousas, Louisiana. The eight-day international juried film festival will screen over 120 films, including narrative and documentary features, and narrative, documentary, experimental and animated shorts, from across the United States and around the world. Among the Official Selections are 41 French language films. Filmmakers and film professionals will be in attendance from across the United States and Canada and from Japan.
