Art & Nature is a project created by artists Mare Martin, Kathy Reed, and Steve Breaux, whose art practices reflect long-standing relationships with the natural world.
For the August Artwalk, the artists will be sharing artworks on the walls, both two and three- dimensional that are completed and still in progress. Additionally, they will show video and sound installations. There will be a sign-up sheet and description for scheduled classes and information about upcoming presentations.
During the course of the residency, the artists will be making two and three-dimensional artworks, video, visual and sound installations, as well as process art. Using the residency as an opportunity to explore the relationship between art making and interactions with nature, the artists are seeking new, personal answers to questions concerning nature and art.
