In an effort to promote unity, literacy, and access, the Lafayette Public Library Foundation sponsors the annual community reading program, Lafayette Reads Together. Denise Lewis Patrick, the author of Hurricane Katrina novel Finding Someplace, will be coming to the Lafayette main library on Wednesday, March 26th to speak about her writing process. Basin Arts and KRVS come together to co-produce Art Circle, a monthly conversation between Dean Daryl Moore of UL Lafayette's College of Arts and two guests, a visual and a performing artist. These run on the final Monday of each month during the 3 p.m. Après-Midi program. This week, Dean Moore's guests are filmmaker and composer, Charliese West, and singer, actress, and filmmaker, Michelle Colón.
