Benjamin Richey moved to Lafayette in 2016 to study music at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Since that time, he has earned a baccalaureate degree in guitar performance and a master’s in performance with a focus on banjo. Benjamin now instructs the university’s bluegrass ensemble and offers lessons on guitar, mandolin, and banjo. Listeners can expect music ranging from singer/songwriters influenced by bluegrass artists to traditional grass from the early days of the genre.
