  • This year the Lake Charles Symphony is especially excited to present Louisiana Saturday Night celebrating all things Louisiana. Lake Charles native and Grammy Nominated, Sean Ardoin and Kreole Rock & Soul is the feature artist for the 2023 Summer Pops Series. The Lake Charles Symphony has commissioned Orchestrated Music to accompany Sean’s Zydecajun Music. This will be the first time that he will perform with a full orchestra. This year’s event will be Saturday, July 8th at the Lake Charles Civic Center.   • Michel Bourdoncle (France), on piano. We’re proud of our rich and diverse culture in Acadiana. Our music, food, traditions and pastimes are influenced by many cultures from all over the world, including those indigenous to South Louisiana. At this concert, we’ll explore the connection to our French and Acadian ancestors, through the lens of classical music, written by famous French composers, including visionaries like Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, and Gabriel Fauré. His signature landscapes are characterized by bold brushstrokes, saturated color palettes, and a unique graphic aesthetic that sets his work apart in the art world.This exhibition will feature a carefully curated selection of works spanning two decades of his illustrious journey.
