  • On Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, UL's Speech and Debate Team will be showing the film “Charade”, starring Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant on the Student Union Porch. Tickets for the event are $5 and the proceeds from the event will be used to help support the team’s endeavors for this year’s competition season!   • Hodge Podge is concert organized by students of the UL music business and recording arts programs. Unlike typical university music events, Hodge Podge is entirely organized, promoted, and produced by students which offers a rare, hands-on approach to the music industry. Hodge Podge 3 will take place on November 20th at the Blue Moon Saloon. Doors open at 6pm with pre party act, Meredith Guy.   • Festival International de Louisiane is heading to Cavalier House Books in Lafayette to launch the publication of a commemorative coffee table book this fall that celebrates the 40th anniversary! The 200-page bilingual hardcover limited edition book reflects on the history of Festival International and the significant role that the cultural event plays in the community. This thought-provoking, artistically designed piece is a time capsule featuring stunning full color photography by many of Louisiana’s most celebrated photographers. For more information, click here.
  • On November 5th there will be a Thanksgiving benefit to feed the Hungry and on November 8th the premiere of the Louisiana History, "Rayne Maker: The Mervine Kahn Legacy." For more information, click here.
  • Here in the studio is Michael Crotty, associate professor, and guest artist, Gabriel Spieller. Listen in to hear more about Gabriel's experience and how he strives to impact the students at the university with his stylistic artistry.
