This week Bayou to Beltway talks with author and historian Jason Berry. Mr. Berry became well-known for his pioneering investigative reporting on sexual abuse in the Catholic church, which he first covered in the Times of Acadiana and then in three well-received books. This interview, however, covers his other preoccupation: New Orleans. Mr. Berry and I talk about his most recent book, City of a Million Dreams: a History of New Orleans at Year 300, which tells a captivating story about the development of the distinctive New Orleans musical style today known around the world.
