Bayou to Beltway: February 12, 2020

This week Bayou to Beltway talks science with Dr. Mark Zappi, Executive Director of the Energy Institute of Louisiana and Professor Chemical Engineering. Wednesday at 12:30 and Saturday at 5:30 on KRVS 88.7 fm.

Bayou to Beltway welcomes Dr. Zappi to talk about urban bio-refineries, a technology that promises a revolution in the area of renewable energy. Dr. Zappi and I explore the promise of this emerging technology, what it may mean for energy production and, leaving earth, the connection between breakthrough engineering and the exploration of Mars. Will bio-refineries, scaled to size, provide humans with the ability to survive in the inhospitable Mars climate, or explore the solar system.

Listen in this Wednesday at 12:30 and Saturday at 5:30 to hear this informative conversation with Dr. Mark Zappi about new technologies and the possibility of life on other planets On Bayou to Beltway 88.7 fm.
