The third episode is focused on the demographic of African American women. The guest for this episode will be R’Kya Harris. We will be discussing some challenges she faced growing up as a black woman. R’Kya also will discuss how being a darker complexion affected her compared to lighter skin toned black women. (colorism) She will discuss her takes on society from her perspective.
R’Kya Harris is a 20-year-old student at UL Lafayette. She is a member of Black Print, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc, NAACP, and Soul Camp. She is a part of many predominately black organizations on campus.
