Bayou to Beltway welcomes education professional Dr. Aimee Barber to talk about teachers and the teaching profession. Dr. Barber discusses the teacher shortage affecting the entire country and its effects here in Louisiana. She talks about the innovative programs that she and her colleagues in the College of Education are implementing to address the teacher shortage by reaching out to younger students through "Educators Rising." We discuss the developing plans for UL's "Lab School" and what that might offer to teachers learning their profession.
