Wallis Watkins

Wallis Watkins is a Baton Rouge native. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Louisiana State University in 2013. Soon after, she joined WRKF as an intern and is now reporting on health and health policy for Louisiana's Prescription.

Louisiana will not be the 38th and final state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, which would prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex. 

A bill to hide the identity of people or businesses who produce drugs used to carry out the death penalty is making its way through the Louisiana House. The move is an effort to get executions running again in the state.
