Bayou to Beltway: December 22, 2021

This week on Bayou to Beltway: Dr. Roxanne Bourque of the UL College of Education and Mr. Zackary Stein of the UL Dupre Library.

The conversation focuses on an innovative program that allows instructors to access Dupre Library's institutional repository to create educational programs for children. In this case, children tell and read "stories" drawn from popular Louisiana culture past and present. These include "The Cooshmah is Coming," the Feu Follets in Crowley," and There's a Rougarou in the Bayou." With digital archiving, these stories are available in a number of forms for children and instructors. Readings by UL students featured in this program.

On Bayou to Beltway at 1:30 pm this Wednesday 88.7 fm or stream on KRVS.org (after Wednesday).
