A lot is going on in the Bayou State beyond Acadiana — legislative sessions, sweeping policies, and challenges to the environment. That’s one reason the KRVS website is adding Louisiana news, regularly updated, in cooperation with public stations WRKF Baton Rouge and WWNO New Orleans and statewide journalism non-profit the Louisiana Illuminator. Look for it on the home page.

Love is in the air, and there is no love quite like that of Acadiana's beloved musical duo! Introducing our latest Blues Box shirt, designed by the talented Bailey Bourgeois. This shirt pays homage to Carol Fran and Clarence Hollimon, and features the iconic song title/lyrics "Keep your hand on your heart."

University faculty and staff are invited to tour KRVS Public Media every first Friday of the month. The tours will take place in Burke-Hawthorne, Room 145, at 9 a.m., starting on February 2, 2024.

We are thrilled to announce a unique opportunity for Acadiana talent to shine on the national stage! KRVS is partnering with World Café to showcase monthly local musicians on its nationally syndicated radio show. This initiative aims to celebrate and broadcast the diverse creativity that makes the region unique. We’ll invite local talent to join us at KRVS’ Cypress Lake Studios for exclusive audio/video recording sessions that will then be sent to World Café.

We are excited to announce that we will once again broadcast live from Girard Park during the upcoming Festivals Acadiens et Créoles. This long-standing partnership continues as KRVS delivers the festival's music and culture to local and worldwide audiences.Save the date, and make plans to visit Girard Park in person or through your ears!
