Today, K-Pop has a worldwide outreach much in part due to the most famous sevenmember group, BTS. People love the styles of music, the meanings of the songs andtend to learn about Korean culture through watching music videos, behind the scenes orfrom simply getting to know the artists. It’s because of this outreach you’ll hear fandomnames for specific groups; there has been an introduction of new slang such as stan,maknae, sasaeng, etc. and the beauty of these stars have captured the attention ofmany.

About the Producer: Jayci Tekell is currently a Visual Arts student at UL and one of thestudent workers at KRVS. Dr. Kim (the original producer of K-POP FEVER) has officiallypassed the torch of the show to her. She became interested in K-Pop towards the endof 2018, falling in love with various aspects of the music, artists and internationaloutreach. Her favorite K-Pop groups are Stray Kids, Ateez and Seventeen.
