Louisiana's Secretary of State Runoff Will Feature Unexpected Matchup

LOUISIANA SECRETARY OF STATE'S OFFICE

The November midterm election has come and gone, but Louisiana voters still have one more decision to make. The Secretary of State’s race won’t be decided until December 8th.

The incumbent, Republican Kyle Ardoin, will be on the ballot. He took over as Secretary of State earlier this year after his predecessor, Tom Schedler, was accused of sexual harassment.

Ardoin will face Democrat Gwen Collins-Greenup, a lesser-known candidate who was able to gain the second highest number of votes on the November ballot despite very little name recognition.

On this week's Capitol Access, Jeremy Alford, publisher of lapolitics.com, discusses the unexpected ballot matchup and the differences between the two candidates.
