On August 29, one week before University of Louisiana at Lafayette School of Music's performance of Messiean's Quartet for the End of Time, Hurricane Ida made landfall. This hurricane devastated much of Louisiana, including the area of Houma and Thibodeaux--where our pianist Richard Jeric lives and teaches.
