It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Chris Stafford, a beloved figure in the Lafayette music scene and friend of KRVS. Arguably one of the most talented musicians to come out of Acadiana, his artistry comes once in a lifetime.

Known for his immense talent and versatility, Chris was a founding member of Feufollet and played with countless other local musicians throughout his career.

His ability to master multiple instruments, including the accordion and steel pedal guitar, showcased his dedication and passion for music. As a recording artist, Chris left an indelible mark on the industry, with his studio, Staffland Studio, becoming a hub for local talent.

Chris's passion for Cajun music echoed in every note, leaving a legacy cherished by all who knew and love him. Our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, Chris, your passion and talent will always be remembered.
