ULL Marching Band Invited Back to Macy’s Parade

This Thanksgiving the ULL Pride of Acadiana Marching Band has been asked to play at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.  This will be their second appearance at the parade since 2005 however; they are lacking the last $60,000 needed to attend.  The cost of the entire trip is around $450,000 and the band has raised the majority of the money through business donations, the sell of Pride of Acadiana Marching band apparel, and mainly the Adopt a Band Member campaign.  The campaign pairs sponsors with members of the band, and in exchange for their donation the band members will inform their sponsors of the events and experiences during the trip.  If members cannot raise enough funds from sponsors they will not be able to join the other band members on the trip to the parade.
