Event Description

Join the American Red Cross of Louisiana in sounding the alarm and saving lives through smoke alarm installation and education this spring. Since the start of the national Home Fire Campaign in 2014, we’ve successfully installed more than 28,500 smoke alarms making more than 14,000 homes safer across Louisiana. During these events, we look to build upon that momentum to install at least 2,000 additional smoke alarms and provide home fire safety education between April 27 and May 12. Volunteers will be needed to install smoke alarms, complete paperwork, and fulfill other administrative tasks during the following events: Date City Rally Point 4/20/2019 Lafayette Martin Luther King Recreation Center 4/27/2019 Scott Scott Fire Department 5/4/2019 Lafayette Lafayette Fire Station 3 5/11/2019 Broussard St. Joseph Catholic Church No prior experience is necessary and all materials will be provided. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag* For more information, visit soundthealarm.org/Louisiana or contact Katelyn.Stewart@redcross.org
