KRVS broadcasts from the kitchen at the Blue Moon Saloon in Downtown Lafayette Saturday night to bring you the sounds of En Francais Volume 2, presented by Bayou Teche Brewing. The event is a CD release party for the second Cajun and Creole Rock and Roll creation of Louis Michot of the Lost Bayou Ramblers, Bayou Teche Brewing's Karlos Knott, and co-producer Todd Mouton. The sessions were recorded at Dockside Studios in Milton, Louisiana, with local favorites recreating classic rock songs with Louisiana French Lyrics. Louisiana is in an educational slump due to bottom-ranking math scores throughout the state. Since 2007, it’s national ranking has been 44th and below. In order for things to change in Louisiana, teachers are coming together and forming better teaching skills for children. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette has received a $1.8 million grant from the National Science Foundation. Professor Peter Sheppard, along with three other professors at UL Lafayette wrote and submitted this grant.
